Can’t Change The Name Of Your Facebook Page? Here’s A Potential Work-Around

Posted on Friday 22 November 2013 | No Comments

A common complaint about Facebook pages is the inability of page administrators to change their pages’ names, but Web and mobile application developer Locastic claims to have found a work-around.
In a post on the Locastic blog, Designer Marko Maljkovic described the process of trying to change the name of the company’s Facebook page from Locastic Studio to Locastic.
Maljkovic wrote that Locastic found itself in a similar situation to other pages that have been unable to change their names, with a like total of more than 200, but nowhere near as many as major brands.
Locastic urged friends and employees who were not administrators of its Facebook page to click on “suggest an edit,” after which a popup window appears, and users can suggest changes to the page, including to its name. After two days and cooperation from about 15 people, Locastic received an option under “audience suggestions” to change the page name.
